Well Derek, I know the price of coffee and a piece of cake at the Golden Tulip, but I never stayed there overnight (always caught the last ferry back to the mainland):-) Here's the website: http://www.goldentuliphamburgaviation.com/?Language=EN
I couldn't find a price list, though...

Rüschpark is the former area of Deutsche Werft Hamburg. The three little terraces on the banks of the Elbe which you might have noticed in earlier times were the slipways where such a beauty as Maxim Gorkiy was launched.
It's a nice place particularly in the summer...

@ Michael: Thanks for the compliment!:-)

...oh, and it is quite expensive I fear. It's often used by Airbus guests, since the aircraft construction site is close by.
Nice picture by the way!

Well Derek, that would be a good alternative to the Delta Hotel in Rotterdam - for any upcoming Shipspotter Summit..;-))

Hi Jens,

Looks like a nice spot to and not far from a hotel where shipspotters can stay? Tghe Golden Tulip is I believe also not to expensive?

best regards
Derek

Thank you Dave and Derek!

Yes, Bubendey Ufer is an excellent spot (though more for incoming vessels).
Rüschpark (look for Rüschweg) is better for outbound vessels.

Greetings,
Jens
