Soren, I had visited the ship some days before she departed on her maiden voyage. I was impressed by most of her interiors and I thought she was externally very handsome - I still do. I think she's the best-looking ship in the P&O fleet (though I also like the look of Adonia). Aurora is the largest ship that I have sailed on and there were parts of the ship that never felt crowded but there were also parts of the ship where it seemed you could nver escape the passengers. Lots of them very badly behaved, fights etc. Also, being a Christmas cruise there were lots of children, as badly behaved as their parents. Some parts of the ship was vandalised during the cruise. Some of these disruptive passengers were thrown off the ship at the Azores and told to find their own way home! The food was not very good, but then it never has been on P&O, so I shouldn't have expected anything else. We had some of the best, most diverse and exciting shore excursions in the Caribbean that I've ever taken and we met some nice people but overall I rather wished that I'd not taken this cruise. I suppose I have to look at it as an interesting experience and although she is not exactly a huge ship these days being larger than anything else I've sailed on it was enough for me to know that big cruise ships are not for me. Oasis or Allure of the Seas are certainly not for me. Big and ugly ships with vast numbers of people doing very boring itineraries. I am very interested in the places that I visit, for me the destination is certainly not the ship. Hopefully, it is just a pleasant way of reaching the destination.

I'm sorry to hear You had a bad experience onboard her.
May I ask, if it was the ship or the culture of P&O that caused it - or both?

I've never been on a cruise myself, but would probably not choose Aurora, although I think she is looking nice. I'm more into Oasis or Allure Of The Seas, I think :-)

Yes, I was captivated by the look of her when she was new. Then I sailed on her first Christmas/New Years cruise. That was my last P&O cruise. I really wish that I'd either saved my money or spent it with another company.

Nice one, India!

I think Aurora is a beautiful vessel, and You've certainly managed to document that in this picture ;-)

Thanks for sharing!
