Steve,
That's a great coincidence! I expect she's almost as 'new' looking now as she was then too.
Best Regards
John J.

Hi John, I went on board Tenca in Lirquen (Chile)on her maiden voyage & took almost this exact photo, you must have stood in my footprints, over there in Avonmouth. (Which strangely was my first port-of-call on my first trip to sea, on "Cyclops" in 1970...Full circle I guess) Cheers, Steve.
P.S: Bob, thanks for the pointer re: Engines...I'll have a look later. Thanks.

Hi Rick, glad you enjoyed. Hopefully they'll let me out of the office more often in the future so I can get some more like these. 'Time out for good behaviour'!
Best Regards
John J.

I have posted a couple of engine testbed shots under "ships under construction" where you can see the whole engine at once, including one of a massive 12-cylinder unit that went into the container ship LAUST MAERSK of 1984.

A very nice series of shots John. Please can we have more of your 'insider' photos (especially down below) in the future too?? Much enjoyed, Rick
