This photograph is most certainly taken in Gothemburg, the ship has the Stena Line houseflag on the signals yard near the radar anthena, she used to operate under charter to Stena twice a years at least doing a long winter carribean cruise and a esater cruise to the Med. I saw her and didi photograph her many times in Lisbon.

"Hedens" on the oil tank. All references on the web indicates this is likely Sweden. Perhaps close to Gothenburg.

I saw the Stockholm not long after the collision - just got one quick view of it. No camera as I was but 11 years old at the time.

I have not been able to find some pictures, but I have found the tug BALDER, maybe it's the one pictured here ...

It was built in 1901 on "Mälarvarvet AB, Stockholm, Sweden." and worked as a tug and icebreaker to 1978 ... In 1985 it was sold to denmark and was used for angling trips, in 2011 it was again sold and is now called leisure vessel.

dimensions
Length: 15.38 m Width: 4.23 m Draught: 2.65 m
tonnage
GT: 30.43, NRT: 4.45
capacity
12 passengers
machinery
1 pc. steam engine (1901 - 1956)
1 pc. Diesel (1956 - 2000)
1 pc. Perkins diesel, 140 kW (2000 -)

Ralph, in a black white picture a danish flag or a swedish flag one can,t almost distiguish from each other. At least for me :-)

Yes, the ship that sliced thru the lovely Andrea Doria, all those years ago, is still with us! mrdot.

The tugs and the name on the tank do not fit to Copenhagen.
Probably a Swedish port. Looks like the tug to the left has the name on the funnel which was the trademark of Röda Bolaget. Niels

She has been laid up at Marseille for unpaid bills since mid-September 2012.

65 years old and still in service - you don't have to be handsome to stay alive.

Nice pic, I think she might be seen here in Copenhagen (Danish courtesy flag flying).
