Preparing to sail from the port.

The vessel has been undergoing maintenance & repairs here, and is off to Newfoundland, Canada, next month to commence exploratory drilling for a joint venture between Statoil & ExxonMobil.
Nice money if you can get it - the normal daily hire rate for this beast is US$ 530,000.

A 6th generation, ultra-deepwater, semi-submersible drilling rig, capable of operations in both harsh and benign environments.

Built in 2009 by DSME (Daewoo), Geoje, South Korea, with a mighty specification which includes 8 Wartsila 12V32 main engines & 8 ABB generators producing a total of 37.7 MW.
