A tricky situation indeed...

LISBOA / PRINCESS DANAE A tricky situation but the official name of this ship is LISBOA regardless of old name still visible. Brgds

There was no need for the name on the ship to have been changed during those last few months as she was going nowhere. As one can see from this photo she has been undergoing some refitting work and I understand that she has just been moved to a shipyard for further work. This will doubtless involve the repainting of her hull, superstructure and funnel in the Portuscale livery and then the new name will appear.
As for her sister ship, the Princess Daphne, she is owned by the sons of the late owner of CIC and I understand they have plans to operate her separately from Portuscale.

Hello Anthony, your language is fine, the photograph shows it is that of the Princess Danae and not the Lisboa. Sea-Web tells me the name changed in May and the photograph was taken in September, so you would have thought they could have painted the new name in 5 months.

The title of the photo is LISBOA because it is the new name of the ship. It acquired by Portuscales Cruises on 2013 and renamed LISBOA, but it actually waiting its renovating, so the name on its bow was her former name (PRINCESS DANAE is its name when it was owned by Classic International Cruises).
I'm sorry if i make mistakes, my native language is french.

Good day.

Anthony

Do you know why Portuscales Cruises hasn't buy the sister ship of the PRINCESS DANAE (the PRINCESS DAPHNE) ?

I'm sorry if i make mistakes, my native language is french.

Good day.

Anthony

It looks as though (at long last)the glazed area around the base of the funnel is going to become totally enclosed. When I sailed on her sister ship, pre CIC ownership, around Cape Horn and along the Chile coast we all agreed that would have made an ideal observation lounge.
