Hi ventuari, Thanks you for sharing the knowledge. I was task to photographed the process including the loading up at the anchourage of the initial 16 onto FJELL but we did not do any aerial shoot of that.
It was because of an interview for a photography journal that I dug up the images and I decided to upload onto this site. You can read part of my interview at this site: http://ourshutterjourney.com/2013/12/18/special-feature-taking-to-the-skies-tommy-chia-part-2/
Thanks shipspotting.com for the opportunity to meet fellow ships spotters and making new acquaintances.

Hi Tommy. Nice shot,beautiful colors.
Hi Captain Ted, yes, they are in Maracaibo Lake and the owner...PDVSA. They made 2 trips from Singapore( 1 trip in this FJORD and the other one, in Fairstar FJELL with a total of 42 second hand/used tugboats, purchased by a "day" trade company on behalf of several "clever" PDVSA executives...Brumby Shipholdings S.A....They collected the tugs all around Malaysia, Singapore and else. Some people say that the trading company made 120 m. with just "nothing".
The most of them are based in the East Coast of Maracaibo Lake ( several PDVSA maritime facilities )and in use for oil wells operations logistic support, and oil terminals support and handling.
The tugs, owned by Brumby Shipholdings S.A. – Panama City; Panama, loaded are identified as follows: Built on the Kian Juan Dockyard – Miri; Malaysia. Yn123 – Torrente 45 (Imo 9513268) - ex Tekun 24260; Yn125 Torrente 31 (Imo 9513270) - ex Tekun 24261; Yn126 Torrente 13 (Imo 9513282) - ex Tekun 24262; Yn127 Torrente 18 (Imo 9513294) - ex Tekun 24263; Yn128 Torrente 63 (Imo 9513309); Yn129 Torrente 40 (Imo 9513311) - ex Tekun 24266; Yn130 Torrente 69 (Imo 9513323). Built on the Hung Seng Shipbuilding – Sibu; Malaysia. Yn2 Brumby 337 (Imo 9542518) - ex Surya Ratna 15; Yn9 Brumby 346 (Imo 9557549) - ex Surya Ratna 16; Yn13 Brumby 369 (Imo 9588990) - ex Surya Ratna 18. Built on Tuong Aik Shipyard – Sibu; Malaysia. Yn2709 Brumby 1288 (Imo 9557915) - ex Kim Heng 1288; Yn2913 Brumby 1200 (Imo 9564695) - ex Kim Heng 1200. Built on Yi Bros Shipyard – Sibu; Malaysia. Yn128 Brumby 1388 (Imo 9564126) - ex Kim Heng 1388. Built on Tang Tiew Hee – Sibu; Malaysia. Yn42 Brumby 195 (Imo 9556947) - ex Marina Synergy 2. Unknown shipyard. Hi Tommy
I was a few times there and never saw one,,and when a ship needs tugs you might get one after several hours of waiting
Of course, Venezuela is not the country where care is taken on tugs,, but ne wonders where they are all
