Vlad, I imagine they would have been the charterers. Mitsubishi Corp is a trading house, traditionally trading houses build and own ships on behalf of clients who take ships on long term BB or TCs.

The original orderer was Mitsubishi Corp who then sold this vessel on to ABY Group Holding Ltd. as a newbuild resale. In recent years, a number of Japanese owners have ordered ships in Korea - and China.

Maybe it has something to do with her previous owner, Arcelor Mittal (if I'm not mistaken), her previous name being AM Kryviy Rih (Krivoy Rog in Russian, a city in Ukraine).

Quite unusual to see a Japanese ship, to be built in Korea indeed.
