She was indeed very attractive. What Mr Smith-Milne failed to understand was that Costa had given the ship an extensive refit and refurbishment and had adopted a somewhat 'Art Nouveau' decorative theme for her.

Agree Shaun, but we had no choice...we were starved of ocean travel since the demise of the Union Castle Mailships and the odd cruise liner...we became accustomed to "second hand/older tonnage" that would venture South to accommodate us !

Riviera Lounge was beautiful...in fact when MSC took her over and renamed her Symphony, later to be replaced with MSC Sinfonia (name wise), the upholstery was 100% as in this photo !!!
