I wouldn't place the Absalon and her sister Esben Snare under the category auxillaries. The were called "flexible stödeskib" (flexible support vessel) before being named and should be considered a cross between a patrol frigate and a command & control / landing support vessel (the carry a L pendant prefix). Their weapons and senor arrays are far beyond what is normally carried by an auxillary, and they have a cargo bay which can carry armoured vehicles.
