A simple answer to a simple question. Go to http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=2424410#

Simple question, where's the buoy? Looks to me that both anchors are down.

Thanks Jim. It was good value. Mrs Maquarie was the wife of Governor Macquarie, ranked by many historians as the most forward thinking Governor of New South Wales An inscription on his tomb in Scotland describes him as "The Father of Australia" Would you believe some Englishmen don't agree with that!

That's some lens Clyde-I'm sitting on Mrs Mrs McQuarrie's chair

Thank you all. She is about 1.8 km from the rocks at the foot of Mrs Macquarie's Chair, and a further 400 m from the camera location.

@Jadran. To get the shot I traveled 5 minutes to a ferry wharf, 20 minutes ride to Circular Quay, then 15 minutes walk past the Opera House to the edge of the Royal Botanic Gardens on Farm Cove. I used the 55/300 kit lens that came with my Nikon D5100 as well as a 18/55 lens

Clyde,, may I ask you 2 questions:
1) Is this beautiful location far away from your home; 2) What lens do you use on your Nikon;
Thank you in advance; remaining with best regards /Jadran

Hi Clyde, Like this shot and the setting. Interesting to see rocks in front of her bow.

Thanks Tony. For passengers who travel to see destinations as well as enjoy the shipboard life, this ship does it well. Arriving in daylight and staying three days.

Nice shot Clyde, Athol buoy is becoming a regular mooring for cruise ships.
