Launched in 1948 she and her sister the Princess Marguerite were built in Scotland for CPR'S triangle route between Victoria, Vancouver and Seattle. She later did Alaska cruises out of Vancouver. Later she was chartered by a fledgling Princess Cruises for California to Mexico cruises.
