I could not agree with you more Clive. Travelled on this ship from Durban, South Africa, to Genoa in April 1995. She was then sent into dry dock in Genoa and emerged without her king posts, and with the winged funnel and structure atop the bridge. She looked so much better before these modifications. Think Star Lauro were trying to make her look a little more 'modern', unsuccessfully. In my opinion, that is.

Whilst she still looked to be a pretty ship I preferred her with the goal-post masts and without that additional structure above the bridge.
