Lundqvist Rederierna of Mariehamn’s 1942 Aalborg built IBIS is here seen departing from the Kiel Canal at Brunsbüttel on 29th June 1969 bound from Helsinki with a cargo of wheat for discharge at Sharpness where she arrived on 2nd July.

She sailed from Sharpness on 8th July in ballast to Hanko; the pilot both in and out was Les Spires (now 90 years old)
