@ davidships: not probably.... it IS Ilse; I remember a local resident telling me that name; also found it still on a 2010 photo. I don't know why it has been painted over though.

@ rarcand: In 2010, a local resident described the Ilse as follows: "If memory serves me correctly it hit a rock and got a hole in it. I believe the owner sold it for a pittance and collected the insurance. Eventually they both ended up at the cannery as points of interest for the tourists. Like the Interim, the Ilse has been stripped of all it's working hardware. The boom and powerblock are gone and of course the seine net and probably all the hydraulics."

@ rarcand: yes, I found a photo earlier taken on 26May2010 with still her Ilse name painted on vessel.

This boat is in a picture on Google Earth (58° 7'42.80"N 135°27'41.38"O) and bored the name ILSE since painted out, it seems.
