Description:

Lykes Line's VELMA LYKES is here seen on the Mississippi River in november 1976.
She was built 1967 at Avondale (New Orleans), La.
Renamed CAPE BON in 1986, and transferred to US Reserve Fleet
In 2003 she was renamed ENTERPRISE, and rebuilt into a training ship.
In 2009 she was renamed KENNEDY, and as such she is still in service, 56 years old now in 2023.
