Description:
As far as I remember it was in Port Elizabeth I photographed the Greek cargo vessel IRIS in latter half of 1974.
This vessel was built at Birkenhead in 1954 as DORIS for Liberia-flag owners, and was renamed IRIS in 1973.
In 1981 she was sold to other Greek owners and renamed KASTRO K.
In 1984 she was sold to Honduras-flag owners and renamed STEPON, and from then it was a short way to breakers.
Already 25.05.1984 she arrived at Gadani Beach for demolition.
