Description:

The 1966 Aioi (Japan) built tanker PROGRESS, operated by Transoceanic (U.B.A.) Maritime S.A. (Elias D.Papageorgiou) of Piraeus, is seen anchored off Flushing exactly forty years ago today, on 17th September 1983. It is thought that she had arrived from Northport (Fla.) about two weeks earlier.

After discharging her cargo at Antwerp she sailed for Singapore on 27th September and arrived at Kaohsiung on 10th December 1983 for breaking
