Danish container vessel NEWPORT BAY is here photographed at Nagoya in September 1991. According to her funnelmark, she is obvious on charter to P & O.
She was built 1982 as LUNA MAERSK at Maersk's own shipyard at Lindø, Denmark. She was to have a lot of name changes up through the years.
1982: Delivered as LUNA MÆRSK - 1991: NEWPORT BAY - 1992: LUNA MÆRSK - 1996: MAERSK TACOMA - 2002: SAFMARINE LIMPOPO - 2002: MAERSK TACOMA - 2006: EMIRATES WATS - 2006: MANDSHIP TACOMA - 2008: TACOMA.
11.02.2009: Arrived at Chittagong, Bangladesh for demolition.
