Description:

Carbosider Soc. di Nav. SpA of Palermo's 1956 Muggiano built bulk carrier GIOVANNI AGNELLI, which was managed by Trasporti Marittimi Merctantili SpA of Genoa, outbound from Rotterdam on 12th September 1975 bound for Sydney, Nova Scotia, to load a cargo for Liverpool.

Note: the letter B on her funnel stands for the Company's founder Giovanni Battista Bibolini (1875-1955)

He invented a method to regenerate used oil, developed the relevant machinery and sold the patent to the French company Folzer.
With the capital thus obtained, he financed the construction at the Muggiano shipyard in La Spezia the first ships of his commercial fleet, the “Bibolini ing. Giobatta".
