Ship built by the Szczecin Shipyard. In the shipowner's publications (PZM-POLSTEAM) it is classified as a COAL CARRIER, so it was a bulk carrier rather than a general cargo ship.
The keel of another ship (B32/I/7) for the Soviet owner was laid on January 25, 1954. During construction, however, it was decided to allocate the ship to PZM. The launch took place on September 29, 1954. It was the launching of the first ship for a Polish shipowner in the Szczecin Shipyard. Construction was completed on April 30, 1955, and on May 3, MALBORK set sail on its first coal voyage to Sweden. By the end of 1955, the ship had made 26 trips, visiting, among others, Leixos and Casablanca. For many years he sailed on the so-called COAL BRIDGE from Polish ports to Denmark. On his way back to Poland, he brought iron ore from the ports of Sweden. Sold to a shipowner registered in Cyprus, she was handed over to him at Aabenraa on November 11, 1976. The name was changed to SUMMER BREEZE. On December 21, 1977, while traveling from Lisbon to Angra do Herosimo (Azores), it was damaged in a storm.
The engine room was flooded with water and the vessel drifted onto the rocks. Fortunately, the crew managed to leave the ship safely. In February 1978, the wreck broke apart and sank.
