Sixty years ago, Palomba & D'Amato of Torre del Greco (near Napoli)'s PEPPINO PALOMBA had called at Avonmouth with a cargo of animal feeding stuffs from Montevideo, sailing on 7th April 1964 in ballast for Montreal. Here she is seen Penarth Head, outbound from Cardiff, in July 1961.

Following a grounding she passed Istanbul on 6th April 1970 bound from the Med to Constantza and arrived at La Spezia on 22.5.70 for breaking
