Description:

MONICA BRATT berthed in Bristol's City Docks on an unknown date; she had called there on 13th April 1964.

Built in Sweden in 1960 as SITAKA and purchased by Bratt in 1962, she was sold in 1965 to Marseille Fret to trade as MEJEAN II until 1977. She was wrecked in 1981 as the Italian ADELCONCITA.

Scanned from a negative by the late Richard Parsons, courtesy of my cousin John D.Hill of Portishead.

Under the management of Erik Kekonius, Adolf Bratt & Co A/B and Götha Line had employed until 1967 the Belgian built sister ships Gertrud Bratt and Belgia (which was Belgian flagged) and Götha’s similar but older Reine Astrid plus the smaller Monica Bratt, both sold in 1965, and Götha’s Patria. From 1967 their business was taken over by the new TOR Line.
