Description:

Indian bulker SHAHJEHAN is here seen at Baltimore in May 1974.
She was built 1963 by Mitsubishi, Nagasaki, as SHAHJEHAN JAYANTI for Jayanti Shipping Co, and was of 37 063 t.dw.
Jayanti Shipping Co. merged in 1973 with The Shipping Corp. of India Ltd., and early in 1974 her name was shortened to SHAHJEHAN.

On 26/6-1987 she arrived at Alang, India for demolition.

Sistership to Akbar, Bharata, Devaraya, Gotama, Kinishka, and Chandragupta (Jayanti). At least those are the ones I am aware of. Very fine looking vessels, nice capture!
