Description:
Reeder-Union AG (Rudolf A. Oetker)'s 1952 Lübeck built BLUMENAU, the former VOSSBROOK, had called at Avonmouth in May 1964 with a part cargo of grain from Fremantle, departing on 9th May for Liverpool to discharge the balance of her cargo. Here, she is seen at Sydney on 2nd November 1960.
Reeder-Union AG, a company established in 1951 by Rudolf A. Oetker, who acted as manager, in conjunction with shipowners Karl Grammerstorf of Kiel, Rudolf Griebel of Lübeck and Konsul Thomas Entz von Zerssen of Rendsburg. In 1954, as they had different ideas about further investments, Oetker bought out the three shipowners and renamed VOSSBROOK as BLUMENAU.
