Likewise, it's always nice to see your shots from the north bank.
Suprisingly few people at South Shields, that is until the ship arrived, and they all appeared from nowhere. Must have been sitting in their cars. Good to see the 'Ark' get a good old Geordie welcome.

Its rather disappointing that the crew didn't turn out - thing of the past do you suppose? - also the lack of a Harrier on the Ski Jump is a shame.

Yes, rather dissapointing that the crew no longer appears to line up on the decks. I always thought this made the occasion even better.
No Aircraft either. I was reading today that the Ark Royal is currently configured to carry mostly helicopters rather than fixed wing aircraft.
