During the 1960s, Kornelius Olsen of Stavanger's 1955 Gothenburg built tanker GANNSFJORD was a frequent visitor to Avonmouth and other U.K. ports while on a long term charter to an oil major. For example, she had arrived at Avonmouth on 11th April 1964 from Swansea, to which port she returned two days later. Here, she is seen passing Tilbury, inbound for a River Thames berth, in March 1969.
